Adrian Turner

Adrian Turner was Born 1949 in London. Adrian received his first camera at about the age 8 and has worked as a photographer ever since. After refusing his degree in Graphic Design at Brighton Art College and failing to attend an interview for the Royal College of Art, Adrian Turner effectively ruled out any hope of an academic career. Turning down offers of employment from Patrick Litchfield and with Vogue Studios/David Bailey made rather a cul-de-sac of a career in fashion photography.

Adrian Turner works using large format film - 10x8 and 5x4. Technological advances in film scanning and inkjet/giclee printing have given photographers much higher levels of control over their final images, and the quality and longevity of the finished print now surpasses that produced by traditional methods of photography.

He exhibits his photography sporadically. A typical project will take Adrian Turner two or three years to complete, while other broad projects are ongoing.

Adrian lives on the south coast of England and the north coast of France.
